6-year-old, man dead after domestic violence incident

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.— A child and a man are dead while a woman is fighting for her life after a domestic violence incident in Bloomington, Illinois.

Police were called at approximately 7:45 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Four Seasons Road.

Three people were found shot inside one of the apartments.

A 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

A 6-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 32-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries police say are consistent with a gunshot wound.

The identities of the victims have not been released as of Wednesday night.
